Ann Finnel is a death penalty qualified attorney from Jacksonville. She would play a large part if Casey was found guilty. Her job would be to push mitigating factors, in order to get Casey life in prison instead of the DP.

Uh oh, I’ve got 2 years to 20…… We met at a local pub that was his home hunting ground as it was mine. Funny we never met all those years going there until 1989. We dated for 2 years, lived together for 2 years and then did the JUMP OR LEAP. I don’t think anyone would want either of us, so we are stuck together. lol

Sherry; I was probably older than you – I managed to stay single until I was 43 and my husband – also single was 50. Everyone kept saying why bother, just live together. Such party poopers. What a waste of the Court, the Jurors, and the State’s time….

She was COMPETENT when she KILLED little Caylee…
She was COMPETENT during Jury Selection…
She was COMPETENT when trial started….

And then SUDDENLY – She is INCOMPETENT as trial progresses along, and the Defence is putting on their Case in Chief!

“Competence” vs. “incompetence” in this legal context is not the same as an insanity plea. Insanity plea = didn’t know right from wrong when she killed Caylee.

Competency can be raised by any member of the court (prosecution, defense, judge, etc.) and is meant to assess, basically, the defendant’s ability to participate in her own defense.

Here is the .PDF of the motion filed on Sat.—–it explains how “competence” is evaluated:

We’ll see….I honestly would be shocked if she were going to testify, esp. with Baez saying they expected to wrap up this week. I’d expect a more conservative estimate if KC were on defense witness list, i.e. – just her testimony and cross would take like 2-3 days. I think Cheney was going for a mistrial—-again. And KC’s family has said they want her to “get help,” so I could see them colluding w/ defense, trying to get her into a mental hospital instead of life in prison or death penalty.

Casey on the stand would be HUGE!!!!

Mason wanted her tested so he can say I told her not to, had doc’s check her out and she is competent – I wash my hands of it. Mason knows she will be eaten alive by LDB – she doesn’t stand a chance.

Baez however has never been in this for Casey – this is all about his name and making it big. He doesn’t care if he gets disbarred – he has TV deals! He is the one that created this circus – with the help of C & G who are either regretting it now or soon will be

Nope. It will be in appeal for a while. I think JBP will
let trial go on and if defense wants to appeal the verdict
they can. She has not even been found guilty of death
penalty murder yet. SF case does not apply.

Florida Supreme Court will issue temporary injuntion
until the case is heard my 11th CofA which could take
      years.

It takes years and years for any DP case to get to the needle. Send her here to Texas – we ain’t shy about it 😉

In Texas we are not shy about injecting our inmates on death row.
