Rituals

As far back as 60,000 BC, man buried their dead with ritual and ceremony. Researchers have even found evidence that Neanderthals buried their dead with flowers, much as we do today.

Many early burial rites and customs were practiced to protect the living, by appeasing the spirits who were thought to have caused the person’s death.
Funeral rites are as old as the human culture itself, predating modern Homo sapiens, to at least 300,000 years ago.
The memorial service is a service given for the deceased without the body present. This may take place after an earth burial, donation of the body to an institution such as a school, cremation (sometimes the remains are present), entombment, or burial at sea. Typically these services take place at the funeral home and may include prayers, poems, or songs to remember the deceased. Pictures of the deceased are usually placed at the altar where the body would normally be.

I am confused now. She knew Caylee was no longer in the ‘shell’ that moments before had been her own living breathing child. However, Her family had the most garish ceremony possible.

Even though I don’t believe the earth is older than 6-7,000 years I love what you are saying! 😉

Burial or cremation was also a sanitary thing to do.

      ~sigh~
All along we could have just tossed our dead loved ones in the nearest wooded area and let the animals do a number on them-it would have been alot cheaper.

My point is that through man’s history – how ever long it is – we have had respect for our dead. Reasons are all OVER the place for it but it is respect none the less.

So, the A’s had a massive public memorial to celebrate a shell?

Yes, I know what you mean~
The Anthonys are fruit loops…I don’t for a minute think they believe the lying crap they spew. George seems like he is afraid of what the repercussions of speaking the truth would be-Cindy’s wrath (forget the wrath of the God they profess to know).

Ever since their public display of deception in court I believe not a word from either of them. Their goals are now simply to get as much cash as they can possibly gather before the momentum ends and get their murderous offspring back in the fold

    Respectfully snipped:

So Cindy considers Caylee’s remains as a shell…..and nothing more.
MG, it’s her own flesh and blood she’s calling a shell….how dare she say those words.

So that shell rotted for months…..while animals feasted on the child’s flesh and bones….all the while the Anthonys enjoyed
cruises, trips for interviews, and enjoying their own lives to boot.

WHY THE HUGE MEMORIAL FOR A SHELL……CINDY?

YES YOU RANK UP THERE WITH YOUR MONSTER KILLER DAUGHTER.

Keep up the denial because your 3 years of therapy haven’t helped you one iota.

You knew KILLER KC lied to you in the jailcell interview…..and you
DID RAISE A MONSTER……..just like yourself.

Do you sleep at night? I’m sure you do…..counting all the BUCKS that will be coming your way.

Cindy replied that Caylee was to be “cremated anyway

Cindy says this about the dumping of Caylee’s body in the swamp~ WHY????

Seriously, this statement is as if Cindy were the one to tell Felon to dispose of the body in the woods or that she knew Caylee was dead before that 911 call. Ooooh! I’m not getting my point across, I fear. This is just the strangest thing to be saying-very disturbing, imo.. 😕 😦

Memorials are for the living, more so than the dead.

It is interesting that ancient Israelite history shows that they believed in immortality and resurrection after bodily death, and though they knew the body decays (dust to dust), they still took great effort as to where their bones were placed. This seeming paradox goes to explain the value of life from God’s perspective. He has said that He will eventually raise again the body and give new corrupt-free bodies. This is quite the mystery considering many bodies are completely lost due to explosion or whatnot. However, the power of God dispels all the confusion the finite mind cannot comprehend. He’s already demonstrated His resurrecting powers in the Valley of Dry Bones, Lazarus, etc.

All this to say, that though Caylee’s body was just her shell which decomposed and stank much more quickly than Casey would have liked, what Casey did to Caylee following her death reflected Casey’s guilt not her spiritual beliefs. If any consideration and value of Caylee’s life were drifting through Casey’s head, she would have honored her best by permitting the living to acknowledge her death, and find comfort in the “putting to rest” or saying good-bye. Again, to torture the living with lies with no intent of disclosing death, is not a spiritual explanation about body-shells regarding Casey’s actions postmortem.

In Dec ’08, there was such relief that Caylee’s remains had been found. In fact, it was considered by some to be almost a miracle, considering the foliage, weather, etc. I had even read at that time that this was God’s act in finding Casey out. I doubt that Cindy would agree with that.

Of course the body placement was Casey’s guilt. It is now her mother trying to invoke spirituality that doesn’t exist in the action.

Hiding the body was from guilt but also to create anxiety – that is how I see it

GEORGE ANTHONY: I believe that Casey, or someone else that she was with, possibly gave too much to Caylee, she fell asleep and didn`t wake up, possibly some kind of drug.

CINDY ANTHONY: I don`t buy that for a moment. I`m sorry.

GEORGE ANTHONY: I can`t understand how she could drown and all of a sudden end up at the end of our street.

CINDY ANTHONY: I was told that Caylee was found in a different spot than where Casey thought she was.

GEORGE ANTHONY: And where Caylee was eventually placed, Casey had something to do with it. I know that.

Oh! So that’s why PI Casey was so off the mark back in November of ’08…

I feel the word for a female dog on my lips to describe Cindy…I hate to insult female dogs though. 😡

Something’s just not right here (gee, ya think? 🙂 )
Caylee’s body was just a shell, not Caylee anymore, once she ceased to be alive. So,….it doesn’t matter that she was left alongside the road to rot and be eaten, etc. Yet, it has been said that when Casey was younger and her pets died, she would put them in a bag, or whatever, and have a burial. What’s wrong with this picture? Oh, I know; Cindy is talking, that’s what’s wrong.
