    From Mike Wilson…

I wanted to pause and reflect for a moment on what’s happening here, and to tell you how it came about.

First, a note of thanks to all of you who continue to contribute with your stories and photos. As this story grows, it is a genuine joy to see so many of you who recognize that while life may not always be perfect (and that it can sometimes be downright sucky), you are responsible for your choices. You know what it takes, and accept responsibility for your journey. I am deeply heartened by the stories we’re seeing here.

Having done many of those things I will always appreciate having them done for me!!

Mind you – I love my venison and understand processing it is part of the adventure but I won’t squabble if someone wants to do it for me!

The Republican party-within-a-party is taking pains to point out the differences between its genteel grass-roots movement and the disparate groups camping out under tarps pushing a range of left-wing causes.

And their point is likely to be driven home on Friday when a major confrontation between police and the Occupy Wall Street protesters in New York is predicted.

Norman Thomas, a U.S. Socialist Party candidate for president, once famously said, “The American people will never knowingly adopt Socialism. But, under the name of ‘liberalism,’ they will adopt every fragment of the Socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.”

You know, I’ve been thinking about how in your face these protestors are and figured these kids must never have heard of the frog-pot analogy. Hey! The socialist professors managed to creep in…

These maroons are the absolute portrait of ‘useful idiots’

They are being used by big unions and others with giant pockets to disrupt and distract

“When the Republicans vote for this bill today, they will be voting to say that women can die on the floor, and health care providers do not have to intervene,”

      “It is absolutely misogynist.”
“This bill goes to the farthest extreme in trying to take women down, not just a peg, but to take in shackles to some cave somewhere,” Speier said. “Basically what this bill would do is say that any hospital could decline to provide services to one class of people in this country, and that one class of people are pregnant women.” H/T Weasel Zippers

Just a thought here – but if women are to be respected, honored and treated with equity then these same women need also to be responsible for their actions.

Kudos to the crowd on this one. No surprise that Frances Fox Piven would repeat the typical, brain-dead, rooted-in-unreality accusation that the Tea Party is racist — but rather a surprise that a little push-back inspired her to stop clutching her talking points quite so tightly.

Yeah, Limbaugh was talking about this. The OWS-ers are deliberately disobeying the law to egg this on. Hannity was talking to a shop owner who said she was being threatened and spit on because she refused to let the protestors use her restroom. She was telling about how nasty these people are. Bullies and haters. Hypocrits.

I forgot to say that this woman was none too happy that Bloomberg called off the cleaning up of the park. She said she was the taxpayer he should be caring about. Her business is across the street from the park. Funny how bold they got with the popo after their “victory”.

I do think they are being prodded to start something more ‘energetic’

Why were they given preference over tax paying businesses?

I’d like to think its because Bloomberg fears a kent State type of ordeal but something tells me he is someone’s sock puppet.

      I’m confuzzled~

The “Third Way” calls for business and government to join hands as “partners.”

Discover the Networks criticized the theory: “In short, Big Business would own the economy (as under capitalism), while Big Government would run it (as under socialism). Corporations would be persuaded to comply with government directives through subsidies, tax breaks, customized legislation, and other special privileges.”

Isn’t this what they are kvethin’ about? Isn’t this what the stimulus is about? Hah! It seems Gorbachav has managed to get back at Reagan from beyond their graves! We traded Reaganomics (a system that kept the USA going fairly well for twenty years until it proved fallible, too) for this Third Way. 🙄

This reminds me of the race fights in my high school. If a group of black kids pummeled, knifed, and/or used bats on the white kids, unprovoked, it was just a non-racial gang fight. If whites did the same, and they did, then it was called a race riot.

We must be of an age, Sherry. When I was in junior high – now middle school

I remember a teacher locking us in a class room to protect us but then he got caught up in things and left us – we ended up jumping from widows

Okay, I’m going to have to rewatch the young homeschooled lad again. What a mush mind this young guy has! Maybe he should go online and solicit funds for people to give to him to pay for his college.

You know, I was thinking about a website where I have a paypal account and I would ask for money, not because I need it for any reason, but because I want it. Just to see how many “bite”, lol! Hmmm…seriously, the climate is right for such a venture…I’ll be back in a bit! Hahahaha! 👿

    Silly girl!

I will admit to helping a fellow blogger who was in dire straights – or at least she claimed to be. I would imagine her pain had to be intense to even consoder asking strangers for money.

I know – sucker. But if even a portion is true I would gladly help again.
