Dumbing down

This book argues that the academic meltdown in our public education system is intentional. It asserts that change agents have been working at the Education Department to change curriculum, not to improve teaching but to promote a socialist agenda. Their role is to create schools which will mold obedient citizens who no longer have the knowledge and skills to improve their lot in life, but are dependent on governement/multi-national companies’ guidance to survive. The system will create imprisoned citizens that will be managed from cradle to grave to serve the needs of the state’s managed economy. The book is clearly written, copiously documented, and finally asnwers the question “Why can’t our kids read, write, and count?” A must-read for anyone with children. It presents a scary view of America’s future if nothing is done to bring back our schools to the excellence of the turn of the century.

This video was originally created to be part of an art exhibit for Exposed the Art Project http://www.exposedtheartproject.org , a multimedia collaboration raising awareness of social issues. The group decided that the message in the Deliberate Dumbing Down of America shouldn’t be put on hold. So here it is. The other artists of Exposed the Art Project are: painters Barry Gross and Viktor Safonkin, and photographers Adela Holmes and Presscott McDonald. We picked four themes for our premier—Social Commentary, Spirituality, Metamorphosis and Time and Chance. This is my contribution for Social Commentary

Oh, brother! May she find herself in a position to have no other car to drive but a diesel. That happened to me years ago-it was the bank’s idea of a replacement car. She just might like it!

I loved my diesel Buick Century for the long road trips I’d take-great on gas mileage. It is stinky if you are behind one but that’ll teach you not to follow closely-like, “Back Off!” One of the things I loved about my diesel was to gun the stinker when someone was riding my bumper. It stunk and made a nice black cloud so that one had to slow down and back off my bumper. I never had to wait in a gas line either, lol!

Oh dear. I do have a mean streak in me! 😈

Seperation of Church and State! Seperation of Church and State! (done in a Gomer Pyle “citizen’s arrest” imitation).

Soooo….where are those maroons who shout out the above mantra when Christians overstep their bounds? Hmmmm…mmm???!

      Maybe they are on vacation…

Here is a radio show that I follow that talks about this incident at Cambridge~

They are talking about how the Muslims sacrifice an animal on this day-how cruel they do it to the defenseless creature-and PETA is silent.

You can listen to it live by following it and logging in and be able to talk in chat. Or you can listen to it at anytime you want after the show is over and they have it uploaded.

and yes – where is the boisterous PETA on this?

Where is NOW on the injustices perpetrated on muslim women?

Why is there no out cry from the very same people that demanded justice for Caylee Anthony for the hundreds of thousands of children raped and molested by muslims?

Ya know, should America succomb to sharia law the Socialist-agressive Progressive-Marxist who believes there should be tolerance of the radical Islam religion are going to have a tough time of it explaining to Gays as to why they are being beheaded for being gay. They will be without words when they see their feminist ideals does no good to save women from stoning, having their noses cut off, and being burned alive. Animal Rights Groups will be muzzled whenever a dog is beaten to death before its owners because a dog is offensive to the Muslim. Oh! Your daughters will not be allowed to be educated but can become a bride as young as age 8. Little boys are up for sodomy grabs, too. Let out all of the sex offenders/pedophiles! And be prepared to bury your daughters who are put to death because she was raped-she did cause it according to sharia.

    Grey-Haired Brigade

They like to refer to us as senior citizens, old fogies, geezers, and in some cases dinosaurs. Some of us are “Baby Boomers” getting ready to retire. Others have been retired for some time. We walk a little slower these days and our eyes and hearing are not what they once were. We have worked hard, raised our children, worshiped our God and grown old together. Yes, we are the ones some refer to as being over the hill, and that is probably true. But before writing us off completely, there are a few things that need to be taken into consideration.

In school we studied English, history, math, and science which enabled us to lead America into the technological age. Most of us remember what outhouses were, many of us with firsthand experience. We remember the days of telephone party-lines, 25 cent gasoline, and milk and ice being delivered to our homes. For those of you who don’t know what an icebox is, today they are electric and referred to as refrigerators. A few even remember when cars were started with a crank. Yes, we lived those days.

We are probably considered old fashioned and out-dated by many. But there are a few things you need to remember before completely writing us off. We won World War II, fought in Korea and Viet Nam . We can quote The Pledge of Allegiance, and know where to place our hand while doing so. We wore the uniform of our country with pride and lost many friends on the battlefield. We didn’t fight for the Socialist States of America , we fought for the “Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave.” We wore different uniforms but carried the same flag. We know the words to the Star Spangled Banner, America ,and America the Beautiful by heart, and you may even see some tears running down our cheeks as we sing. We have lived what many of you have only read about in history books and we feel no obligation to apologize to anyone for America .

Yes, we are old and slow these days but rest assured, we have at least one good fight left in us. We have loved this country, fought for it, and died for it, and now we are going to save it. It is our country and nobody is going to take it away from us. We took oaths to defend America against all enemies, foreign and domestic, and that is an oath we plan to keep. There are those who want to destroy this land we love but, like our founders, there is no way we are going to remain silent.

It was mostly the young people of this nation who elected Obama and the Democratic Congress. You fell for the “Hope and Change” which in reality was nothing but “Hype and Lies.” You have tasted socialism and seen evil face to face, and have found you don’t like it after all. You make a lot of noise, but most are all too interested in their careers or “Climbing the Social Ladder” to be involved in such mundane things as patriotism and voting. Many of those who fell for the “Great Lie” in 2008 are now having buyer’s remorse. With all the education we gave you, you didn’t have sense enough to see through the lies and instead drank the ‘Cool-Aid.’ Now you’re paying the price and complaining about it. No jobs, lost mortgages, higher taxes, and less freedom. This is what you voted for and this is what you got. We entrusted you with the Torch of Liberty and you traded it for a paycheck and a fancy house.

Well, don’t worry youngsters, the Grey-Haired Brigade is here, and in 2012 we are going to take back our nation. We may drive a little slower than you would like but we get where we’re going, and in 2012 we’re going to the polls by the millions. This land does not belong to the man in the White House nor to the likes of Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid. It belongs to “We the People” and “We the People” plan to reclaim our land and our freedom. We hope this time you will do a better job of preserving it and passing it along to our grandchildren. So the next time you have the chance to say the Pledge of Allegiance, Stand up, put your hand over your heart, honor our country, and thank God for the old geezers of the “Grey-Haired Brigade.”

More ‘transparency’ from the obama regime

Ben Howe explains all at RedState:

Now you may be asking yourself, “Self, why would this just be coming out now if it happened on Thursday?” An excellent question, with an answer that is at the same time incredible and completely expected. The press swore to keep it super-secret.

The surprising lack of coverage may be explained by a report alleging that reporters present at the event were requested to sign an agreement to keep mum on the subject of the embarrassing comments.

According to a new survey, our high schools and middle schools are moral and cultural cesspools in which kids routinely say and do foul things to each other. Parents with children in public schools can attest to the accuracy of the survey better than I. Maybe it’s overblown? But the findings seem in keeping with the general cultural trend: the sexualization, and resultant abolition, of childhood.

In addition, Wall Street’s profits have been posted and the numbers show who Obama is really fighting for. Under Obama, Wall Street has generated over $85 billion in profits in 2.5 years. Under Bush, they generated $77 billion for the entire 8 years he was in office.

It’s an open secret in the political world that Barack Obama is gay, and that there are plenty of closeted gay Republicans too. But you won’t hear about any of this because members of the permanent political class on both sides of the aisle don’t want you to hear about it.

AND they all think you are too stupid to ever figure this stuff out on your own.

President Obama and the Democratic Party refused to give Republicans any input in the $787 billion stimulus which ruined the economy — shooting unemployment up from 7.8% to a whopping 10.3% in November 2009.

    What does this tell you?

We would be well on the way to recovery if the market had confidence in our federal government to quit borrowing by the trillion and to quit meddling in things to which it knows nothing about.

Had we done nothing, unemployment would have peaked at 9% and it would be a full two points lower today.

This is why people don’t trust the media. It’s why so many conservatives reacted with such disdain to what I think are legitimate reports about alleged sexual harassment by Herman Cain. I cannot help believing some of the very same reporters who signed the non-disclosure deal about Obama’s remarks would have clung to exalted claims of journalistic integrity and reported the matter had it involved George W. Bush.

“I just wish they’d give us our park back,” one homeless woman says.

She’s one of dozens of homeless who’ve signed a petition:

Part of the problem, some homeless argue, they feel they’ve lost their freedom.

Even by the often bombastic standards of duplicity that is the Obama administration, the Eric Holder testimony given before the Senate Judiciary Committee today sets a new standard of multiple misrepresentation of fact. What the nation saw – those who took the time to watch, was the Attorney General of the United States going on record and blaming Republicans in the House of Representatives for an operation that was initiated by, and for, the Obama administration. Holder also gave yet another strong push for enhanced federal gun control laws – a direct attempt to weaken the 2nd Amendment by using the tragedy and chaos created by the Obama Fast and Furious program as justification for those much stronger gun control measures.
