No ambition? Says who…

To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic but is morally treasonable to the American public” ~Theodore Roosevelt

“If ever time should come, when vain and aspiring men shall possess the highest seats in Government, our country will stand in need of its experienced patriots to prevent its ruin.” Samuel Adams

For the third time in as many months, Obama chided the United States for lack of effort in the competition for business. At the annual Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation meetings in Honolulu Saturday, the president said the U.S. has been “lazy” about attracting new investments to its shores:

Following Obama’s “lazy” characterization at APEC, Jake Tapper of ABC News asked CEOs in attendance if they would use similar terminology to describe American business efforts internationally.

“I would not,” said Google Executive Chairman Eric Schmidt.

Meanwhile, Obama’ policies have strangled businesses into non-growth. And huh – more people than ever in the history of our country are on government assistance. Thanks to a President who feels as though we’re all laaaaaaaaaaaaazy, of course.

    Weird how that works.

Later at a press conference, Google CEO Steve Schmidt was asked about the remarks. Schmidt said it is hard to answer without knowing what the standard of laziness is. He did say thought that America could be more aggressive. “I think the government and the nation should always be focusing more on the fastest-growing parts of the world. So I’m not sure that’s a new discovery,” Schmidt.

Picture, if you will, the reaction to Bush attempting something like this

    http://weaselzippers.us/2011/11/13/obama-awards-433-million-no-bid-contract-for-overpriced-questionable-drug-to-top-dem-donor-blocked-other-firms-from-competing/

Siga was awarded the final contract in May through a “sole-source” procurement in which it was the only company asked to submit a proposal. The contract calls for Siga to deliver 1.7 million doses of the drug for the nation’s biodefense stockpile. The price of approximately $255 per dose is well above what the government’s specialists had earlier said was reasonable, according to internal documents and interviews.

After he was sworn in as president, he proclaimed that taxpayer money would assuredly not be doled out to political friends. “Decisions about how Recovery Act dollars are spent will be based on the merits,” he said, referring to the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. “Let me repeat that: decisions about how recovery money will be spent will be based on the merits. They will not be made as a way of doing favors for lobbyists

Indeed, at least 10 members of Obama’s finance committee and more than a dozen of his campaign bundlers were big winners in getting your money. At the same time, several politicians who supported Obama managed to strike gold by launching alternative-energy companies and obtaining grants.

Like the Democrat party? Like Obama? Good, vote for them and this is what you will get:

    * The ten poorest cities and percentage of population below the poverty level

    1. Detroit , MI 32.5%
    2. Buffalo , NY 29.9%
    3. Cincinnati , OH 27.8%
    4. Cleveland , OH 27.0%
    5. Miami , FL 26.9%
    6. St. Louis , MO 26.8%
    7. Chicago, Ill. 26.4%
    8. Milwaukee , WI 26.2%
    9. Philadelphia , PA 25.1%
    10. Newark , NJ 24.2%

    U.S. Census Bureau, 2010

What are the common threads? Democrats and unions

Detroit, MI (1st on the poverty rate list) hasn’t elected a Republican mayor since 1961.

Buffalo, NY (2nd) hasn’t elected a Republican mayor since 1954.

    Cincinnati , OH (3rd) hasn’t elected a Republican mayor since 1984.

    Cleveland , OH (4th) hasn’t elected a Republican mayor since 1989.

Miami, FL (5th) has never had a Republican mayor until now and he was recalled

    St. Louis , MO (6th) hasn’t elected a Republican mayor since 1949.

Chicago, Ill (7th) has never had a Republican mayor.

    Milwaukee , WI (8th) hasn’t elected a Republican mayor since 1908.

    Philadelphia , PA (9th) hasn’t elected a Republican mayor since 1952.

    Newark , NJ (10th) hasn’t elected a Republican mayor since 1907.

    * In the history of our federal government:

5 Representatives have been expelled. All 5 were Democrats.

14 Senators have been expelled. All 14 were Democrats.

    21 Representatives censured. 16 Democrats, 5 Republicans.

7 Senators have been censured. 4 were Democrats, 3 were Republican.

2 Presidents have been impeached. Both were Democrats.

The troubling facts: 80% Democrat offenders, 20% Republican
