Blah blah blah

President Obama regularly expresses his contempt for America. The latest example was his comment at a business forum in Hawaii where he complained that “we’ve been a little bit lazy over the last couple of decades.” In particular, he meant Americans supposedly have been lax in pursuing foreign investment because “we aren’t out there hungry, selling America and trying to attract new business into America.” This degrades the country he leads.

The statement is patently false. During the past several decades, foreign investment has nearly tripled. Washington has signed multiple free-trade pacts, seeking to expand export markets and attract investment capital. Economic globalism is eroding our industrial base and U.S. wages; it has been a bonanza for foreign investors. Americans have not been passive. Yet Mr. Obama loves to bash America.

During the 2008 presidential campaign, Mr. Obama denounced “bitter” middle- and working-class voters who “cling to guns or religion, or antipathy to people who aren’t like them” and pull the lever for Republicans. In other words, the heartland is rife with parochial, xenophobic, racist and primitive citizens who still believe in outdated conservative notions such as patriotism, God, the Second Amendment and stopping the flood of illegal immigrants.

No other American president – not even Jimmy Carter or Bill Clinton – has vilified and denigrated his country while in office like Mr. Obama. It is not just that he routinely demonizes segments of his own countrymen – denouncing “fat-cat” bankers, millionaires, billionaires and corporate-jet owners. He has publicly attacked the Supreme Court for its decision on campaign-finance legislation. He has urged Hispanic supporters to “punish our enemies.” He has called Fox News and other media critics “illegitimate.” Since the 2010 midterm elections, he even has questioned the efficacy of our constitutional system, complaining about our “broken politics.” He derides “this big, messy, tough democracy,” openly admitting his temptation to bypass Congress and go it “alone.” This is more than hyperpartisanship. It expresses a deep-seated revulsion for American traditions and American democracy.

President Obama seems frustrated these days – lashing out emotionally, intensifying his rhetoric against money-makers, doubling down on his demagoguery, and claiming that heartless GOP rivals want dirty air, unsafe water, poisoned food, and no health care. Mr. Obama blames Congress for not enacting yet more of his destructive “stimulus” schemes, even as the CBO this week reiterated its prior estimate that Obama’s first stimulus scheme ($787 billion, February 2009) will have a net negative impact on GDP over the coming decade.

Its all starting to make sense:

The contemporary left holds that non-socialist societies are composed largely of dominators and the dominated, oppressors and the oppressed. The alleged cause of this social arrangement is the economic system of free-market capitalism, which is viewed by the left as the root of all manner of social ills and vices — racism, sexism, alienation, homophobia, imperialism. In the calculus of the left, capitalism is an agent of tyranny and exploitation that presses its boot upon the proverbial necks of a wide array of victim groups — blacks and other minorities, women, homosexuals, immigrants, and the poor, to name but a few. That is why according to the left, the United States (historically the standard-bearer of all capitalist economies) can only do wrong.

The spectacular failure of the much-hyped, congressional debt-reduction panel completes the devolution of the Democratic Party back to its pre-Clintonion state: unabashed champion of the high-tax welfare state. And America is worse for it.

It’s like the 1990s never happened and the 1970s never stopped happening for the Washington Obamacrats. The U.S. economy faces two screamingly obvious problems: historically slow growth and historically high government spending leading to massive budget deficits. In this way, American is already frighteningly like Greece and Italy.

One major way we have uncovered corruption is to ‘follow the money’ and to discover the networks of those connections…one such analysis was done on how Obama won the 2008 election using his stolen and illegally secured campaign ‘donations’, paper dollars.

Paul Krugman says that Newt Gingrich is just the latest of the “fools and clowns” in the Republican presidential race to become a frontrunner.

“I have a structural hypothesis here,” Krugman told ABC’s Christiane Amanpour Sunday. “You have a Republican ideology, which Mitt Romney obviously doesn’t believe in. He just oozes insincerity, that’s just so obvious. But all of the others are fools and clowns. And there is a question here, my hypothesis is that maybe this is an ideology that only fools and clowns can believe in. And that’s the Republican problem.”

For Democratic Party pollsters Patrick Caddell and Douglas Schoen, the Obama administration has become a political Amityville Horror. Barack Obama’s approval numbers have plunged, and his options for campaign strategy in 2012 range from going negative to, er, going medieval. Caddell and Schoen offer the same advice to Obama as the house gave in Amityville Horror — get out:

When Harry Truman and Lyndon Johnson accepted the reality that they could not effectively govern the nation if they sought re-election to the White House, both men took the moral high ground and decided against running for a new term as president. President Obama is facing a similar reality—and he must reach the same conclusion.

He should abandon his candidacy for re-election in favor of a clear alternative, one capable not only of saving the Democratic Party, but more important, of governing effectively and in a way that preserves the most important of the president’s accomplishments. He should step aside for the one candidate who would become, by acclamation, the nominee of the Democratic Party: Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

The president, jaunting around the world as America’s economy crumbles and Congress lumbers along, leaderless, dropped into a high school in Australia. Talking to the Aussie kids, he said America’s public school students have “fallen behind” them in math and science. And he said in the U.S., many children don’t get the “support they need when they’re very young” so they’re “already behind” when they enter elementary school.

Of course, that doesn’t apply to the president’s and first lady’s daughters. There was no chance the One Percent Couple were going to send their own children to a public school in the District of Columbia; they’re off at a private school that costs $30,000 per child per year.

Now, mind you, this from a guy who has never held down a real job: from community organizer to Illinois state senator to U.S. senator to president, taxpayers have been paying his salary since the mid-1990s.

The Air Force has notified Hawker Beechcraft Corp. that its Beechcraft AT-6 has been excluded from competition to build a light attack aircraft, a contract worth nearly $1 billion, the company said.

The company had hoped to its AT-6, an armed version of its T-6 trainer, would be chosen for the Light Air Support Counter Insurgency aircraft for the Afghanistan National Army Corps. The chosen aircraft also would be used as a light attack armed reconnaissance aircraft for the U.S. Air Force. …

The decision appears to favor the Super Tucano built by Brazil’s Embraer for the initial contract to supply 35 with the potential for 55 aircraft worth up to $950?million, which does not include foreign sales, the Eagle reported.

Oddly enough, Embraer has been in the news lately. Less than three weeks ago, the Brazilian airplane builder announced that the SEC had begun a probe — for corruption:

Embraer, the world’s third-largest commercial aircraft producer, said it is under investigation by the US Securities and Exchange Commission for corruption, casting doubt over one of Brazil’s top companies. ..

Embraer’s shares dropped nearly 5 per cent on Thursday, falling the most in six weeks, after the announcement, which was included in the group’s third-quarter results statement.

“In response to a subpoena issued in an investigation by the US Securities and Exchange Commission relating to possible violations of the US Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, the company retained outside counsel to conduct an internal investigation,” Embraer said in a filing late on Wednesday, a national holiday in Brazil.

Matthews is correct that Obama has failed to state his mission for 2012, and his entire Presidency thus far for that matter. The point is, he shouldn’t have to – his policies should tell you all you need to know about his plans for the future.

He has been touting his mini- stimulus plan for three months now, ignoring that the Democratic Senate has voted it down three times. That prompted him to begin a new era of his Presidency, governing via executive order. Through this, he extended the bad loan programs of Fannie and Freddie. He allowed college students to consolidate their student loan debt into a single government loan at a lower rate, putting a whopping $10 a month back in debtor’s pockets. Let’s also not forget about Solyndra.
