Ask the Siri, the new iPhone 4 assistant, where to get an abortion, and, if you happen to be in Washington, D.C., she won’t direct you to the Planned Parenthood on 16th St, NW. Instead, she’ll suggest you pay a visit to the 1st Choice Women’s Health Center, an anti-abortion Crisis Pregnancy Center (CPC) in Landsdowne, Virginia, or Human Life Services, a CPC in York, Pennsylvania. Ask Google the same question, and you’ll get ads for no less than 7 metro-area abortion clinics, 2 CPCs and a nationwide abortion referral service.

Ask in New York City, and Siri will tell you “I didn’t find any abortion clinics.”

UPDATE: Reader Kristen asked Siri “Why are you anti-abortion?” and she answered “I just am, Kristen.”

Instead of focusing on care for military personnel and their families, abortion activists want to ensure the taxpayer-funded hospitals and staff are required to do abortions. As is frequently the case, pro-abortion groups like NARAL and Planned Parenthood are focusing on hard cases in order to push through their abortion agenda.

Two years ago Abby Johnson, a Planned Parenthood director in Texas, was so stunned by what she saw in an ultrasound given to a young woman planning an abortion that she experienced a dramatic shift in her views on the sanctity of human life and the policies promoted by the federal government, leading to her resignation from the organization. But her own recent personal experience with a pregnancy has led Johnson to reveal some stunning facts concerning the nation’s new healthcare initiative, commonly referred to as ‘ObamaCare.’

In a stunning interview with Michael F. Haverluck of WND, published today, Johnson reveals that after the passage of ObamaCare the federal government and private insurance carriers summarily dropped pregnancy and maternity coverage from its plans.

At issue is a 40-year-old memo written by former Planned Parenthood Vice President Frederick Jaffe indicating that the ultimate goal of the organization and the government is to control population growth by discouraging pregnancy and promoting abortion and sterilization.

A stunning Planned Parenthood document that includes radical ideas such as compulsory abortion and sterilization; special “permits” to have children; penalizing parents; and encouraging homosexuality dovetails with some Obamacare mandates, according to a former Planned Parenthood director.
