Boltin Baez

Florida lawyer Jose Baez has left the legal team for Casey Anthony, who was acquitted of murder in her daughter’s death in July.

Baez removed himself from Anthony’s legal team because of a recent falling out between the two, the Orlando Sentinel reported.

“Jose did express to me … that he’s over it,” Rivera said last night, referring to the legal proceedings. Rivera interviewed Baez on Sunday’s edition of “Geraldo At Large.”

Baez’s home has been foreclosed and he has departed Orlando to set up his practice in Miami, Rivera told Shepard Smith. Baez “has to go on with his life,” Rivera said. “I think it’s fair to say he wants to move on.”

Maybe Baez was serious about not letting the Felon’s case define him? 😛

A source close to Anthony tells E! News that after months of disconnection, Casey is now back in contact with her mom Cindy.

But does that go double for dad George?

I read everything you write or put up for us. I just don’t feel smart enough to comment on it. You and Sherry are miles ahead of me. But that doesn’t mean I don’t read it and learn from it. Thank you for all you do for us.

We still have no definitive word about Baez’s role in the Casey Anthony case. There have been reports that Baez and Anthony had a falling-out, and that she plans to fire him or that he has removed himself from the case. In July, Anthony was acquitted of murder in the 2008 death of her daughter, Caylee.

On Thursday on Fox News, Rivera slammed Chief Judge Belvin Perry for releasing depositions about Casey Anthony’s mental health. Rivera’s position was unusual — a journalist being opposed to the release of documents — but Rivera has become Baez’s good friend.

“We’re finding out now everything that Casey Anthony, when she was behind bars, told the court-appointed psychiatrist,” Rivera told Jon Scott. “That offends my basic sensibilities. It is so unfair. First of all, there’s a doctor-client privilege. You tell a psychiatrist something you would tell never tell anyone else. To think that Judge Belvin Perry, in every major decision in her trial, sided with the prosecution, would do this is really slanted.”

    CNN Breaking News

Joran van der Sloot, a key suspect in the 2005 disappearance of U.S. teen Natalee Holloway, was sentenced Friday to 28 years in a Peruvian prison for the May 2010 murder of 21-year-old Stephany Flores.

The 24-year-old Dutch national confessed to the charges of “qualified murder” and simple robbery in Flores’ death.

Investigators said they believed van der Sloot killed the Peruvian woman in his Lima hotel room after she found something related to the Holloway case on his computer.

Van der Sloot was among the last people seen with Holloway before she went missing on the island of Aruba. He was detained twice, but never charged, in the Alabama teenager’s disappearance. Her body has never been found, but an Alabama judge signed an order Thursday declaring Holloway legally dead.

He got 28 years. I wonder if they have parole in Peru?
I was hoping he would get life without parole or the
death penalty so he would tell us what happened to

I heard since NH was declared dead by a judge in Alabama,
he can now be tried in a US court. Maybe he would rather
serve life in an American Prison. Just wondering

Peru gives perks to wealthy people unlike here. He will remain in prison but as long as he can pay guards and inmates cash he will be fairly comfortable.

      or he will be killed

Kim, remember Midnight Express? Rahvert Hayz? The only
thing different is JVDS father has plenty of money. He can
bribe his way out in Peru. JMHO.
