Conservatives, Sharpen Your Shank and Shove It In

ScottM notes in a comment to: Humiliation was, in fact, their only aim, and malice, their motive.

“This is the point of commie-lib politics. They will use their power to take your power. The commie-libs make demands, not because of the facts and the “progress” toward their utopia, but because if you do what they want you will be weaker and vulnerable to the next demand. Yet, the guileless Conservatives debate the merits of the details of the commie-lib demand, or they’ll point out this latest demand is inconsistent with some past demand. The details and the consistency matter only to the Conservatives, yet that is what they spend 98% of their energy discussing. You might as well tell the con-men running the Three Card Monte you’ve detected the card switch or that taking someone’s money isn’t nice.

“When you debate the details with a commie-lib you are putting the “kick me” sign on your chest and back. You are signalling you still haven’t caught on and you are still an easy target. Just because you prefer to discuss the details and the rules and the underlying principle doesn’t mean that’s effective. It’s only when you recognize the commie-libs are engaged in a naked power grab and this fight is about power, not the details of their latest charge, can you effectively resist their tactic.

“Stop being willfully naive and be an effective soldier for your views. Stop rushing to talk radio so the conservative host can try and convince you not to raise taxes in a recession, not interfere in children’s lunches, not break up families, not advance the goals of America’s enemies. I know this is lost on most Conservatives because the world around the one characteristic of the Conservatives is a determined avoidance of conflict with the liberals. Better to discuss what the commie-libs are doing than to risk a fight with the commie-libs. It’s Conservatives students and employees that hide their views in school or at work. You can’t win while on defense. Commie-lilbs are always on offense, that’s why they control so much. If our tactic was working we would run their institutions, we don’t.

“You can return to Mayberry Rules when we win the fight. Right now we must play by Prison Rules, or lose.”

    Dear liberal friends,

One of the two statements below is true.

    1) Providing co-pay-free birth control to all citizens represents such of a national priority that it is worth raising the premiums for everyone who has health insurance.

    2) Providing co-pay-free birth control to all citizens represents is not enough of a national priority that it is worth raising the premiums for everyone who has health insurance.

“Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore, take up the full armor of God, so that you will be able to resist in the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm.” Ephesians 5:13

I was wondering just what was meant with the rally cry to Conservatives to be on the offense with libs and then I read this comment:

I agree with this post and find it very refreshing. I have started taking the offense in conversations more and more often.

The other day a leftist friend of mine asked, to be friendly, if I favored any of the candidates. I said no, they’re all highly flawed, but you can understand our side by looking at the Republican primary as a conversation we are having amongst ourselves, trying to work out our priorities, and it helps if you understand that the establishment party politicians weren’t prepared for the teapartiers and didn’t embrace us fast enough, but it will all work out in the end, most likely, because we are right and are focused on educating the public about what matters, and working hard to win local races and re-take the Senate, and once you folks understand what we are talking about you will want to remake the Democrat party, too, because it really does matter that we have a free market, individual liberty, and fiscal responsibility.
And my friend said she had never heard about any of that. This was the first time she even knew that there ARE teaparty principles, much less had them explained.
In the past I would have said something polite.
But in the past she wouldn’t have asked me.
Even some of the leftists are starting to wonder and worry. This is good.

Blogging does this for the most part, imo. Especially when we reveal the libs’ tactics and when we do posts on why the libs’ thinking is nonsense. If there is more than this to do, the American Digest made no suggestions-they just steered us in the direction to go. Some examples would be nice. Otherwise, what is being done already is both a good offense as it is a defense.

      Excellent post!

I think the author was simply redirecting us to rethink our tactics – to recognize that the left is not at all beyond lying, cheating and stealing to get their way.

A Colorado student who refused to sing a song praising Allah quit the choir this week. This morning FOX and Friends reported that James Harper quit school in Grand Junction after receiving death threats.

Harper received the death threats after the story broke this week.
The school defended its decision to sing the song to Allah.

The tea party isn’t dead. It’s just looking down ballot. While fiscal conservatives remain split over the GOP presidential candidates, grassroots activists are coalescing around a stellar slate of limited-government candidates looking to reinforce and reenergize the right in Washington.

And in the spirit of the modern-day tea party movement, no entrenched incumbent — Democrat or Republican — is safe.

After Andrew Breitbart’s Friday night “meltdown” in front of the occupiers, (the video of which went viral soon after), I told Verum Serum’s, John Sexton – “yes, he looks unhinged (to a comical degree) in the video, but he didn’t ‘lose it’. Wait and see – there’s a method to his madness.” It looked to me that he was trying to create a YouTube moment in order to push the #occupyrape issue into the public’s consciousness because it was being ignored by the MSM. I also noted I wouldn’t be surprised if part of the clip was used in the new Citizens United movie, “Occupy Unmasked”.

On Thursday, Charles Koch authorized employees to reveal the contents of hundreds of e-mails that the Kochs and employees have received in the last year, some of them containing death threats. “I hope you all DIE,” one e-mail, received last year, said. “You people are ruining our country, and all for $$$.” “Choose your expiration Date, Brothers…” said another. “The Koch brothers will DIE!!!!!” said another.

There were hundreds more — some from Wisconsin, where the Kochs were accused of aiding Gov. Scott Walker in his disputes against unions. Most of them were signed with what appear to be real names, many contained obscenities, and some Koch employees said these messages had made them nervous.

If so, they should know what is next: A repudiation of the group’s labeling as Lie Of The Year the death panels. They do exist. The government will in fact dictate just what medical services you will be covered for and just what your insurance will not cover. This is passive-aggressive rationing that will become more aggressive as time goes on. Any objective observer of government action over the last 60 years could predict the incremental takeover of the health industry from non-congressional fiats. Slowly the bureaucrats will do their work in as non-democratic a manner as possible.

      From Scott Gottlieb:

Offended by President Obama’s decision to force health insurers to pay for contraception and surgical sterilization? It gets worse: In the future, thanks to ObamaCare, the government will issue such health edicts on a routine basis — and largely insulated from public view. This goes beyond contraception to cancer screenings, the use of common drugs like aspirin, and much more.

Under ObamaCare, a single committee — the United States Preventative Services Task Force—is empowered to evaluate preventive health services and decide which will be covered by health-insurance plans.

The task force already rates services with letter grades of “A” through “D” (or “I,” if it has “insufficient evidence” to make a rating). But under ObamaCare, services rated “A” or “B” — such as colon cancer screening for adults aged 50-75 — must be covered by health plans in full, without any co-pays. Many services that get “Cs” and “Ds” — such as screening for ovarian or testicular cancer — could get nixed from coverage entirely.

That’s because mandating coverage for all the “A” and “B” services will be very costly. In 2000, the Congressional Budget Office estimated that the marginal cost of similar state insurance mandates was 5%-10% of total claims. Other estimates put the cost of mandates as high as 20% of premiums.

Health plans will inevitably choose to drop coverage for many services that don’t get a passing grade from the task force and therefore aren’t mandated. Insurance companies will need to conserve their premium money, which the government regulates, in order to spend it subsidizing those services that the task force requires them to cover in full

The Planned Parenthood abortion business has crated a firestorm of criticism for itself by making the wild-eyed claim that allowing women in Virginia a chance to see an ultrasound of their unborn child before the abortion is akin to rape.

However, new information has surfaced showing the abortion business already does pre-abortion ultrasounds on women to determine the age of the unborn child prior to the abortion — making it so the abortion business, in its own words, “rapes” women already. The question then becomes whether or not women will be allowed to see the ultrasound image or heart the audio of the heartbeat of their baby.

Planned Parenthood cares so much about black babies that they will go to any length to make sure they are never born.

USA TODAY’s editorial is right to say that Occupy might lack clear goals on how to move forward, but the movement has accomplished its main original goal: to protest these injustices, not by simply holding a rally and going home, but by keeping the rally going to underscore the seriousness of this problem. Your piece accuses the protesters of sitting around and doing nothing. So maybe they should take up their Second Amendment-sanctioned guns and storm Wall Street and our nation’s capitals. If our country doesn’t change, it could very well come to that one day.

Big Sis would have DHS agents busting down his door if he was a Tea Partier.

Sharon Jasper could be the poster child for Obama’s re-election campaign. Ms. Jasper has lived on the dole 57 of her 58 years. She was moved out of the St. Bernard housing project after hurricane Katrina. Her current home is a voucher-backed apartment in a private residence. Speaking to a New Orleans Times-Picayune reporter, Jasper said, “…it’s pitiful what people give you.”

Ms. Jasper, the key word is “give.” We taxpayers do not owe you anything. How dare you whine and complain?

This ungrateful, arrogant, entitlement-minded woman called her apartment a “slum.” Jasper allowed a photographer to tour her subsidized apartment. She complained about missing window screens, a slow leak in a sink, a warped back door, and a few other details of her residence. Otherwise, Jasper’s apartment appeared to have been recently renovated.

Jasper’s “slum” also featured hardwood floors and a 60-inch HD TV.

At a New Orleans City Council meeting about whether or not to tear down the dilapidated St Bernard projects, Ms. Jasper verbally attacked a white male in attendance, saying, “I will not be treated like a slave!” and “Back up and Shut up! Shut up, white boy! Shut up, white boy!”

Sharon Jasper should be ashamed of herself. Jasper’s shamelessness confirms how deeply our culture is infected with an entitlement mindset. Please do not write me about how I am beating up on the poor. I am not. I have known Sharon Jasper in various forms all of my life, including in my own family. I have witnessed firsthand the devastating toll cradle-to-grave government dependency has taken on the human spirit and the wasted lives left in its wake. So please, do not preach to me about liberals’ good intentions or tell me I simply do not support my fellow blacks.

Sharon Jasper epitomizes the type of voter Obama seeks and is working to create. With more Americans than ever on food stamps and half the country receiving government assistance in some form or another, Obama is cloning Sharon Jasper. Unquestionably, Obama is putting all his re-election eggs into his Sharon Jasper basket.

As callous, self-serving and heartless as drug dealers, the Democrats are government-dependency dealers. Hooking as many Americans as possible on government dependency secures the Democrats’ voting bloc of government-dependency junkies. Every election, Democrats will promise to increase the dosage of freebies.

But somewhere down the road, workers/taxpayers will revolt! “Screw it! I ain’t workin’ no more for the government to take it and give it away.”

I cannot begin to express how painful it is for me to see lazy, “triflin'” (as my mom used to call them) do-nothings getting over on hardworking taxpayers and being celebrated by the president of the United States. Obama treats deadbeat entitlement junkies like saints, superior to working Americans. Mr Obama, we are a not a bunch of slackers. We are Americans, doggone-it! We work! Quoting Larry the Cable Guy, we “git-r-done”!

I will tell you who are the “real” saints: the small business owner I met in Kansas. For ten years, (think about that for a moment, ten years), a few of his employees earned more than he did in his meat-processing business. Through failures and personal and financial hardships, he kept the business going. Today, he employs 500 people. This small businessman is a hero! And yet, Obama has targeted this man’s extremely hard-earned wealth for redistribution, all the while portraying him as a selfish villain. Despicable. Mr. Obama, that’s anti-American!

Some of you patriots still do not get it. You write me long e-mails explaining the sins of Newt and Santorum and how if Ron Paul does not win the nomination, you’re sitting this election out. Well, that is just plain wrong and crazy. While I have my favorite, at this stage of the game, I will support whoever wins the nomination! What part of “Obama will end America as we know it” do you not understand?

The argument that the “wrong Republican” in the White House is just as bad as Obama confirms a naivety of the depths of Obama’s far-left radical- and Rev. Jeremiah Wright-inspired hatred for America. Obviously, you do not comprehend the seriousness of the unique situation we find ourselves in as Americans. On their worst day, none of our candidates are as devastating to our freedom, liberty, and culture as Obama is.

And to all you people who write me saying both political parties are corrupt and so what’s the point in Tea Partying, voting, or even trying, I will not embrace your defeatist attitude. When ten out of twelve spies for Israel said they could not defeat the giants, God called their report “evil.” To all you folks who say America is too far gone and we should simply give up, I say take your “evil” report elsewhere!

I love my country and trust God too much to surrender the greatest nation on the planet to those who would destroy her. Don’t know ’bout y’all, but I’m fightin’ for my country ’til the Lord takes me home.

Mr. Obama, Sharon Jasper is not America! We will not allow you to turn us into a nation of Sharon Jaspers! Sharon Jasper is not my America!
